SOUND BATH

A sound bath is a meditative and therapeutic practice that involves immersing oneself in soothing and harmonious sounds to promote relaxation, reduce stress, and enhance overall well-being. It is not a literal bath, but rather a metaphorical or experiential one where you "bathe" in sound vibrations. Sound baths are often offered as a form of sound therapy or meditation.  Many people find sound baths to be a deeply relaxing and enjoyable way to de-stress and connect with their inner selves

WHAT TO EXPECT

During a sound bath, you can expect a unique and immersive experience that aims to promote relaxation, reduce stress, and enhance your overall well-being. 
It's important to note that the specific experience may vary depending on the facilitator, the instruments used, and the style of the sound bath. While many people find sound baths to be deeply relaxing and enjoyable, individual experiences can differ. .

SMALL GROUP

 Sound baths are usually held in a quiet and peaceful environment, our studio allows up to 8 people a session designed to be calming and conducive to relaxation.

Participants will be provided with a yoga mat, blankets and cushions to help you get comfortable Most people choose to lie down on their backs, but some may also sit in a comfortable position. Chairs or tables are not provided.

It's essential to wear comfortable clothing, as you'll want to be at ease during the experience.

​

Sessions will often begin by providing an introduction to the session, the purpose of the session, and any guidance on how to maximize the experience.

​

During a session, a variety of sound instruments, such as singing bowls, gongs, chimes, crystal bowls, tuning forks, or percussion instruments. These instruments are played in a specific sequence or improvisational manner to create a harmonious and therapeutic soundscape.

Participants are encouraged to close their eyes, relax, and focus on their breath. The facilitator will invite you to let go of any stress, tension, or distracting thoughts and to be present in the moment.

You'll experience the vibrations and frequencies washing over you. The sound can be gentle and soothing or more intense, depending on the instruments.

 

Many participants find that the combination of the sounds and the relaxing environment induces a state of deep relaxation. It's common to feel a sense of inner calm and peace during the sound bath.

​

Sound baths can last anywhere from 30 minutes to an hour or more, with sessions of varying lengths available. The duration is typically mentioned before the session begins.

​

Once the session is complete, you'll be invited to slowly transition back to your regular awareness. Some sessions end with a few moments of silence to allow participants to gradually reorient themselves.

​

After the session, you may be encourage participants to share their experiences or reflections if you wish. Or write them down in a journal.  This can be an opportunity for personal insights and connection with others who attended and/or yourself.
